Our galleries, shop and foyer are open at the times below. We recommend arriving at least an hour before closing to enjoy the full experience.

The Novium Museum is located at the heart of Chichester city centre, a short walk from the Cathedral and the main shopping streets. Whether you are travelling by car, train or bus, we are easy to reach.

Do I need to book in advance?

No booking is required for general admission. You are welcome to walk in during our opening hours. For guided tours, school visits or special events, please contact us in advance so we can make arrangements for your group.

Is there a charge for temporary exhibitions?

Permanent galleries are always free. Temporary exhibitions may carry a small admission charge, which is clearly advertised in advance. Check our Exhibitions page for current and forthcoming shows.

Can I take photographs?

Photography without flash is welcome in most of our galleries for personal use. A few loaned objects may carry photography restrictions; these are clearly indicated by signage near the display case.

Are there facilities for families and children?
